Male Mentorship Ministry

In January of 2010, Brother Chalmer (Bobby) Gant, accepted the honorable challenge of the Holy Spirit, to gather God's men together (young and old). His ultimate goal was to lead the men to the Throne of God, where they could cast all of their cares upon the Lord, and freely discuss MALE ISSUES (without women being present). Uncertain as to how he would render this service to the Lord, he spent much time in 'fasting and prayer', seeking the "Unadulterated Will of God".
Realizing the everyday struggles of life that men often encounter, this idea quickly appealed to several other brothers: Dr. Douglas Charles, Brother Gabriel Ford, Brother Erick Fiztpatrick, and Brother Aaron McWilliams. These men of God were the first to step forward and volunteer to be God's voices in this "House of Praise Ministry for Men".
They first met in a member's home and later their gathering grew to accommodate larger arenas. Who would have thought that men needed "Holy Ghost Ventilllation Outlets", just as much as Women do? In these meetings, these men of God are able to vent frustrations, aggravations, fears, habits and failures, in a Godly manner.
They NEVER feel any upbraiding, guilt, condemnation, negative criticism or condescending ridicule. "ONLY THE LOVE OF GOD"! Their spiritual support of one another makes it easy for the young men and boys to follow their mentoring.
"Is it really okay to cry?", is a common theme of these courageous men of God. Their willingness to confess, admit and trust one another, "tightens" the bond of the Holy Spirit around them, and grants them relief. They leave the meetings brighter, lighter, smiling, happy, delivered and full.
Yes, "full", spiritually and naturally. At every meeting, they eat hearty meals! They have, on occasions, compelled the women of the church, to cook elaborate meals for them. However, these men are quite capable of preparing 'SUPERB' meals, themselves!
The ages of the men range from 2 to 87 years of age. Fathers carry their young sons, as they exercise their Biblical right and mandate to "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22: 6)
The young boys and young men look forward to the "special" gatherings with their "older" male mentors. This is a time (of their own) to simply spend time with their Heavenly Father, learn more about HIS love for them, and call upon HIM in their hour of need, knowing that HE will hear and answer. (Jeremiah 33:3). Eagerly, they ask, "When is our next meeting?" They can hardly wait!
The most vital part of the meeting is when they join hands to PRAY. They talk to their Heavenly Father, and give HIM THANKS for such an inspirational and fulfilling gathering rendering "Joy" to all.
