The "SALVATION Story"
According to Mr. Webster's dictionary, salvation is:
- an act of saving someone from harm; destruction; to rescue; recovery; redemption;
- deliverance from the power of sin and its effects through the redemptive and shed blood of Jesus Christ and His (voluntary) death on the cross!
YES! But, what does that mean?
It simply means that because of Adam, Eve and the fall, "EVERYBODY" was on their way to a burning lake of fire, (a real HOT place) with brimstone and torment, CALLED HELL!
(Revelation 19:20)-And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a "LAKE OF FIRE" BURNING WITH "BRIMSTONE". (Isaiah 5:14)-Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.
But, "HALLELUJAH", we don't have to go down into HELL.. not anymore!
"WHY NOT"?
You see, God created man in His own likeness, and in His own image. (GENESIS 1:26-27). (Loving, stable, focused, with dominion, power and a sound mind).
Afterwards, God Blessed man and gave him the "title deeds" to the earth. Adam was 'ALIVE', walking in God's light, free, no hard labor, everything he could ever ask for (at his beck and call), vibrant, energetic, happy, fulfilled and well.
Sadly, through satan's evil ways of manipulation, Eve being deceived and Adam being disobedient, MAN lost our "dominionship" over the earth, by Adam giving the title deeds away to satan. This resulted in man (dying), meaning being disconnected from our Creator, Lord, Owner, Father, Jehovah, Elohim.... God! (Genesis 2:17). Satan's ransom? Blood! Someone had to die and he had to be pure and blameless. But who?
From that time on, man has lived with a dark, "sinful nature" and avoided, empty space in his heart. And, since then, he has tried to fill that void with every imaginable thing, such as: alcohol, illicit sex, smoking, drugs, pornography, and etc.
His variable mood swings manifests from satan's fleshly desires and mannerisms. Proud, arrogant, haughty, Up one minute, down the next! Happy one minute, sad the next! Loving one minute, hating the next! Marrying one minute, divorcing the next! Never satisfied! Miserable and wanting everyone else around them to be miserable! Nothing ever could nor would "fulfill" man's void, again. Man was doomed! Sold into a sinful bondage! Hellbound!
UNTIL....
While man was still in his sin, God commended His Love for us.
(Romans 5:8).
"How did God do that"?
He sent His only son, Jesus, to die, in our place. Men nailed His hands and feet to an old rugged cross, PUT A CROWN OF THORNS ON HIS HEAD, BEAT HIM WITH A "CAT OF 9 TAILS WHIP", (putting 39 bloody stripes on his back), spit in HIS face, jerked His beard out with their hands, pierced Jesus in His side, and "CRUCIFIED HIM". He never did anything BUT good.
Jesus voluntarily shed his blood, and paid the ransom, for us, (to satan) by dying and rising again in three days from HELL, the grave and death. His love and His blood redeemed us from the curse (bought us back from the devil, purchased, rescued, saved, and delivered) and RECOVERED what Adam gave away! Our Authority! Our title deeds! Our Freedom from sin! Our Joy! Our Dominion! Our Re-Connection! "PRAISE GOD"!!
And, one day soon, he is coming back for us to be with him, forever.
(Acts 1:11 and 1Thessalonians 4:16).
(John 3:16)-"For God so loved the world, that HE gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life".
"Am I re-connected now? How do I know if I have 'salvation' or not?"
If you believe what you have just read, then Romans 10: 8-10 says:
"But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation".
Let's pray: Father, thank you for sending Jesus into the world to die for me. I do believe, in my heart, and I do confess with my mouth, of my own volition, that Jesus is the Christ, son of the living God. I believe that he died, shed his blood, went to hell through death and rose again on the 3rd day from the grave, and one day he is coming back for me; Because, "HALLELUJAH"! ..... as of this moment, I believe and I KNOW that I am saved! AMEN!
YES, you are saved! Praise God! Now, you need to get into a good "WORD" church and be baptized (Acts 2:38 and Luke 3:21-22).
